Korcelta was engaged by CPC Engineering to support the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, operated by AngloGold Ashanti, as part of a major processing plant upgrade. 

The project scope included the fabrication and installation of four CIL (Carbon-In-Leach) tanks, associated pump station piping, and extensive mechanical works to improve throughput and process efficiency. 

Throughout the project, Korcelta also participated in multiple shutdown events, providing on-site support during critical tie-ins and upgrade activities. 

Korcelta completed shop fabrication and installation of all pump station piping, as well as workshop-fabricated piping connected to the four CIL tanks. 

All piping was pre-manufactured in Korcelta’s controlled workshop environment to ensure high-quality welds, dimensional accuracy, and schedule reliability. 

In addition, all utility pipelines were fabricated and installed on site, including the installation of structural pipe supports. 

The on-site fabricated piping incorporated threaded and flanged joints, while the process piping included stainless steel socket-welded connections, ensuring robust and leak-free integration across the system. 

Korcelta’s work also extended to multiple site-run pipelines, connecting the new tanks and pump station to existing process infrastructure. This approach ensured seamless interface alignment and minimized plant downtime during commissioning. 

Korcelta delivered the project scope safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. 

By combining shop fabrication precision with on-site flexibility, the team achieved a smooth and efficient installation process that aligned with CPC’s construction milestones.
